A fork in the path lies ahead...

Good evening, and welcome back fair adventurers.
Apologies for the silence last week. I was waylaid by certain personal matters and, for a brief and troubling moment, feared the Kingdom Representatives might send me packing beyond the realm entirely. (They didn’t. I remain. Though narrowly.)
That said, your journey continued undeterred—and rightly so. You’ve now weathered one-third of this year’s trials. Another huzzah due indeed! That is no small feat. The realm shifts, the map grows stranger, and still you march on. Let that be marked and honored.
Now, with May upon us, a new chapter unfolds. One eye must stay fixed on the road behind—its challenges, its lessons, its strange companions. The other must look ahead. Because something stirs. Threads are tightening. Symbols emerge in dreams and patterns. And I fear not all of what’s coming will arrive in daylight.
This is the threshold. This is where we gather our tools, mark our growth, and begin to ask not only what comes next—but who we are to become in the face of it.
Keep your lantern lit. Steady your hand. And when the signs appear—meet their gaze without flinching

May 2025: The Prophecy Stirs
It does not offer clarity, only invitation. Threads begin to twist into patterns. Symbols surface in dreams, in patterns of behavior, in the timing of events. What have you gained so far? What trials this year have shaped you? And how will you answer the summons ahead?
May is a threshold. A chance to reflect on the first part of your journey and take stock of the tools, allies, and truths you now carry. But it is also a warning: challenges lie ahead. You will need to be ready—not only in strength, but in purpose and determination.
Prepare to decipher. To adapt. To name what you’re truly seeking. The realm does not yet demand your final form—but it does begin to ask who you are becoming.
Week 18: The Sigil and the Bones
To move forward, we must understand the shape of what came before—and listen for what stirs beneath the surface.
This week is about reflection and divination: honoring the symbols that define your journey so far, and looking to instinct, ritual, or quiet knowing to shape what comes next.
What patterns have followed you? What truths are ready to be named? Mark them. Carry them. And let them guide your next steps.

The Shared Vision
Even the wisest seers don’t read alone.
Action: Visit the Discord and share a small omen, sign, or symbol you’ve noticed lately. It could be a dream fragment, a recurring word, a weird coincidence, or a tarot pull. See what insights others offer, and return the favor.
The First Bone
The first step to seeing clearly is asking.
Action: Try a small act of divination or introspection. Pull a tarot card. Toss a coin. Journal your dreams. Ask a question, then notice what answers the day offers. You don’t need to know what it means—just start listening.
The Pattern pt 1
You’ve been weaving something all along. Now’s the time to trace the thread.
Action: Look back through your planner, journal, camera roll, or even Discord messages from this year. What themes or motifs have repeated? What has stayed with you longer than you expected? Write them down.
The Pattern pt 2
Sometimes others see what we miss.
Action: Ask someone who knows you to some extent (even if just through the realm) what patterns they’ve noticed in your creative journey or behavior. You might be surprised what’s been visible all along.
Trading Tenders
The path behind you is marked not just in memory, but in objects—scattered, stacked, forgotten, or cherished.
Action: Choose one physical space tied to your journey this year- could be a desk, drawer, journal, photo album, or digital archive. Clear it with intention. Remove what no longer serves you. Set aside what holds meaning. What remains may surprise you.

The Naming Rite
Task: Before any tale can twist, the first part must be sealed. A chapter unmarked may try to repeat itself.
Action: Look back at what’s unfolded since the turning of the year. Trace the pattern in your steps, the lessons left in your wake. Then name this span—whether in solemn tones or strange riddles. Just a few words. A title, not a story. Etch it in your journal, whisper it to the wind, or carry it in silence. The page turns next.
Self-Fulfilling
Task: The signs are swirling—but no one else can interpret them for you. This month, you are the oracle.
Action: Write a three-part prophecy for yourself using what you know, feel, and intuit. One line for what is being left behind. One for what is forming. One for what you are being asked to become. It can be poetic or plain, cryptic or clear. Return to it when the road narrows.
May Guild Trials
Task: Complete the quest for the month as outlined in your guild’s charter
Scholars: “The Hidden Link” – Gather scattered notes, curiosities, or half-formed thoughts. Find the hidden link between them.
Artisans: “The Maker’s Mark”- Revisit something you’ve made this year. Then, create something new to mark who you are becoming.
Bards: “The Spoken Omen” -Write or record a short personal prophecy. Let it be strange, symbolic, or sincere.
Sentinels: “The Sigil of Holding” – Reflect on one moment you held firm this year. Create a symbol, word, or mark to honor that strength.
Alchemists: “The Transmutation Script”- Write a cryptic recipe, ritual, or formula that describes what you must become to meet the trials ahead.
May Guild Badge Design Challenge
Task: Create a design for the May Guild Badge, a symbol that we may all look back on to celebrate the month’s success. Each month, a winning design will be selected that best represents the theme and highlighted on social media. Challenge partakers will be able to collect them all.

Lamps Flicker, Worry Grows
Streetlamps across the realm have grown unreliable in recent nights—some failing to light at dusk, others extinguishing in the quietest hours before dawn.
No explanation has been offered, whispers of faint humming, a sharp scent, and the sense that something watches once the last light goes out.
The Herald has been formally asked by Kingdom Representatives not to publish speculation or seek public comment at this time.
Travelers are advised to carry their own light.
Realm Advisory remains in effect
The main road between the Gilded Mare and the High Council offices remains sealed following last month’s discovery beneath the cobblestones. No further details have been released, and the canvas barriers remain tightly drawn.
Kingdom Representatives continue to escort travelers through the eastern woodline. The Toll Bridge remains open, though under quiet watch. All detainment and restriction protocols are still active.
No update has been provided on Fionnán.
Separately, the realm’s streetlamps have grown unreliable—failing to light at dusk, or extinguishing altogether in the deepest hours.
Travelers are urged to proceed with vigilance and report any signs of disruption or irregularity.
