Huzzah!
Good evening, and welcome back fair travelers.
First, a heartfelt well done to all who made their voices heard this past weekend. However you showed up, know this: the realm recognizes no king. It recognizes courage, and community, and those willing to speak when it matters.
That is no easy task. Nor is the ones we face in the weeks ahead. This doesn’t mean we must looks our merriment though. Song and dance make a revolution—and they also help sore feet skip forward. You may be tired. You may be sore. But you’re still moving. And that counts.
For grit and glory,
Sir Kadean

June 2025: The Ascent
The flatlands are behind you. The realm tilts upward. The wind tastes of stone and starlight.
This is no gentle wandering. This is the part of the journey sung about in taverns—the climb through scree and shadow, where old maps end and legends begin.
You’ll need courage. Calloused hands. A steady gait. But also a sense of wonder, for not all peaks are made of rock, and not all summits lie above.
June is for forging ahead—boots laced, provisions packed, banner high. It is for laughing in the rain, sharing fire with fellow travelers, and chasing the path that dares you to keep climbing.
So go on, adventurer. The mountains await. And they do not bow to the timid.
Week 24: Blisters and Ballads
The trail is steep, and it shows. Boots scuffed. Muscles sore. A few rations gone strange in your pack. You’ve been climbing hard for awhile— now it’s really starting to feel like it.
But this is the part worth remembering. The stretch you’ll sing about later, when the tale is yours to tell. Not just the summit — the scrape, the sweat, the sharp-edged glory of getting there.
Blisters heal. Stories last. Make it a good one.
Resources for ye:
(main quests are essential to your journey)
Voice in the Wind
When your legs are tired and the air’s too thin, a good line can carry you.
Action: Find a quote, passage, lyric, or motto that gives you a boost this week. Consider sharing it’s motivational powers with others or post in the discord.
Whistle While You Work
The steps pass by faster with a jaunty tune.
Action: Find or write your own working song. This could be a true historical work song, like a sea chantey— or just a tune that keeps you going through the day. Use it during a menial task, workout, etc.
The Sore Spot
You’ve been limping a little. Maybe not enough for others to notice — but you feel it. That ache, that twinge, that thing you swore you’d deal with later.
But later doesn’t climb mountains. Later gets worse.Action: Pick one thing your body or mind has been warning you about — the pain, the lump, the symptom, the spiral — and take real action. Book the appointment. Start the process. Stop ignoring it.
Second Wind
You thought you were out of fuel — but then the road curved, the sky cracked open, or a dumb joke hit just right. The second wind never shows up when you beg. Only when you move anyway.
Action: Do something this week that helps you shake off the slog. Not rest. Not reset. Just shift. Change the scene, the pace, the input.
A Game! A Game!
The raven has appeared again, bearing a bag and a note. It is up to your own interpretation what the meaning is.
“Follow the leader! Let us play!”
In the bag: 🥐🥖🍪

The New Path
Task: There are maps, and there are myths. This month, you forge a new route entirely.
Action: Find a place—physical or conceptual—you’ve never explored, and chart a way through it. It might be a trail you’ve never hiked, a transit route you’ve never taken, or a creative/methodical space you’ve never dared to work in. Plot your own course, make your own system, leave your own signs behind.
The Pact
Task: Adventure isn’t found. It’s chosen. Make a pact to go on one real adventure each week this month.
Action: List what feels like true adventure to you—a long hike, a Renfaire, a daring outfit, a strange book devoured in a new place. Do one at least each week of the month.
June Guild Trials
Task: Complete the quest for the month as outlined in your guild’s charter
Scholars: “Field Report” – Trade scrolls for soil. Observe something in the wild—natural or human-made—and record your findings as a lorekeeper.
Artisans: “The Bridge”- Craft something that bridges where you are and where you're going. The only rule: it must be something you’ve never made before.
Bards: “The Tale Not Yet Told” -Spin a story of the quest you haven't yet taken. Write or record it as if it already happened.
Sentinels: “Just Around the Riverbend” – Choose something that feels just out of reach—and pursue it with full force. Report back from wherever you make it.
Alchemists: “The Catalyst Charted”- Design a map that doesn't chart land, but momentum. Plot the ingredients, conditions, or actions that set your transformation into motion this month.
June Guild Badge Design Challenge
Task: Create a design for the June Guild Badge, a symbol that we may all look back on to celebrate the month’s success. Each month, a winning design will be selected that best represents the theme and highlighted on social media. Challenge partakers will be able to collect them all.
This month’s theme is “The Ascent”

Halifax Potion Craft Closes for Foreseeable Future
Halifax Potion Craft has gone quiet. A note, written in the unmistakable hand of H.G. Halifax III, was found on the door earlier this week:
“Gone to clear the fog. Trust the brew to settle.”
No one has seen him since.
Several passersby have pointed out that the wording doesn’t sound like Halifax. His father, Halifax II, addressed the crowd outside the closed storefront late the following morning. “It’s out of character,” he admitted. “And more importantly, it’s bad for business. No notice, no delegation, no follow-up correspondence—completely unacceptable. If anyone knows where he’s gone, I expect to be informed immediately.”
Kingdom Representatives have declined to open an inquiry, stating there is no evidence of foul play and that “the departure appears voluntary.”
The closure has already disrupted supply lines across the potion and healer networks, especially for rare or regulated tinctures once sourced exclusively through Halifax. Smaller vendors have reported waitlists, substitutions, and empty shelves.
For now, the only thing brewing at Halifax Potion Craft is speculation.
Realm Advisory: Partial Restorations, Persistent Risks
The flooding at the Toll Bridge has fully receded as of first bell this morning. Structural reviews are underway, but passage is permitted once again. Detainment orders tied to the area remain active, though enforcement continues to be suspended until further notice.
Streetlamp outages persist across garden corridors and lesser-used paths. Entire routes remain unlit past nightfall. Maintenance crews are assessing the issue.
The investigation into Fionnán’s whereabouts remains active. Distribution records are classified in accordance with ongoing security protocol.
At the urging of Sir Kadean, provisional clearance is under review to allow the Iron Lantern to resume standard hours, in consideration of public safety and traveler rest during low-light conditions.
Travelers are reminded to remain on marked roads after dark and not to approach unfamiliar fires along the wood line.
Further notices will follow as conditions change.
